Bead Soup Is Here – February Edition
Yesterday I got my bead soup package from my awesome partner in bead crime for this round, Kathleen Lange Klik at Modern Nature Studio.
I am so thrilled with what she sent me! Everything she sent is gorgeous, including the way she packaged the soup. Here, let me just show you:

What a joy it was just to unwrap my package! I lack the gift wrapping gene myself, which makes me doubly appreciate it whenever I receive beautiful packages like this. Lovely purple paper which looked and felt handmade, a leaf button accent, even the box hiding underneath the gift wrap was lovely!

So what was hiding under all that pretty wrapping? Once again, I was blessed with my soup partner. Kathleen sent me a gorgeous assortment of beads and components in a purple and green theme. Just take a look:

Look at the purple fiber! I haven’t truly worked with fiber in jewelry yet, and I’m both thrilled and a bit intimidated by it.

Oh, and remember that Kathleen is also a photographer? Look at this lovely resin pendant that she made using one of her photos:

I can’t wait to start creating with this elegant, nature inspired mix! It includes elements I love, like natural beads, but the fiber will definitely force me to learn new tricks, which is just what Bead Soup is all about.
Thank you, Kathleen!
